Crystalline glazes provide a unique effect on flat surfaces. There are areas of a gentle slope where the crystal and the background and be easily defined and then all of the rest of the glaze which pools in the center. The colors and the effect are simply amazing! When held up to light, you can see a wide array of colors and crystals that form in the hardened center.
